Technological Chane in Education
Best School in LDA views for technology advancement
Formerly,
computer labs were introduced to the schools, wherein a sufficient number of
computers were installed in the school. This was done to acquaint the students
with the developing technology and make them adept to make pace with the
industrialization taking place. Setting up of computers with internet access
opened new doors to experience wherein all the information and data lay at
disposal on the click of the button. The training to access this information is
a part of the school syllabus replacing the relevance and exposure to the
technique of ‘observational learning’.
The
technological advancement brought along with progression from heavy and sturdy
computer sets to smaller gadgets like mobile phones, smart phones, tabs,
laptops etc. and also flatter version of the computers. More the innovations,
more was the switching from obsolete to the latest, thus, slashing down the
prices of the bygone technologies increasing its access to the normal public.
This led to immense exposure to knowledge, information and data wherein kids
grew up watching television at homes and playing video games instead of playing
out; observational learning being replaced by dependency on the processed form
of information rather than the raw information which is open to interpretation.
The cons are plenty of this advancement, chief among all being the health
problems associated with it. The health deterioration occurs as the physical
activity reduces. Also problems of vision are one among the problems found
within children due to constant exposure to the screen. The creativity and
imagination has flown and gone past by the screen-glued generation. But, if
guided and used appropriately, this very technology can also aid in the process
of education. All technological things are being provided by the Best School in LDA.
